Help Shape Pontiac's Economic Future Together!

To fundamentally improve the quality of life for all residents and businesses, the City of Pontiac and Pontiac Funders Collaborative have launched the Pontiac Economic Development Organizational (EDO) Framework Initiative to develop a clear, comprehensive, and collaborative economic development structure for the future.

This important initiative is in partnership with Main Street Oakland County, Oakland County Economic Development, Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency and Centro Multicultural La Familia.

About This Session

As a critical part of our community engagement process, this 4-hour Strategic Planning Session for key stakeholders is a half-day working session designed for key stakeholders to move from focus group feedback into actionable planning. This pivotal meeting represents a shift in focus from fixing what’s broken to designing for the future, ensuring a unified and thriving economic future for Pontiac.

Session Agenda:

  • Background & Data Review: We will review the Focus Group Summary Report, research data, and benchmarking comparisons against other communities and economic models.
  • Analyzing Organizational Models: Collectively evaluate potential hybrid organizational options and structures.
  • Finalizing the Strategic Roadmap: Consolidate gathered data to draft the implementation roadmap and finalize project goals.
  • Defining Success Metrics: Establish clear metrics of success and transparency dashboards to track progress.
  • Clarifying Partner Responsibilities: Define organizational roles, flow of work, and specific partner commitments within the new ecosystem.
